With the media and film industry showing strong signs of growth, Jebsen Industrial’s Cinematic & Broadcast Solutions Department has been actively pursuing new business opportunities with a series of market outreach programmes.

Showcasing new products

It organised a New Products Roadshow (Guangzhou, Sep 24) to showcase the latest solutions from Arri , Easyfocus and Angenieux . Led by Jebsen Industrial’s Technical Engineers Mr Ming Pang and Mr Sam Ma, the roadshow offered industry professionals a treasured opportunity to familiarise themselves with the latest developments from around the world. The participants benefited from having technical experts explain the functionalities and application possibilities of Angenieux 25-250 and 28-340 lenses, Easyfocus’ innovative automatic focus pulling system and Arri Amira and Alexa XT cameras. To deliver a truly hands-on experience, the Jebsen Industrial team also brought Zeiss CP.2 and Schneider lenses, Odyssey 7Q monitor, Bolt system and Arri ’s wireless compact unit WCU-4 for lens control so that participants could understand how solutions from different manufacturers can work perfectly together.

Exploring new tradeshow platforms

Guangzhou, with its strategic location in South China, also places the high-potential markets of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau and even Southeast Asia within reach. With that in mind, the Cinematic & Broadcast Solutions Department led Jebsen Industrial’s debut at GIRTV 2014 (Guangzhou, Nov 6-8). Once again leveraging its extensive portfolio, the team used a cross-branding strategy to demonstrate the versatility of its principals’ solutions. Show-goers at GIRTV 2014 tested the Alexa XT Plus digital camera with the Arri /Zeiss Master Anamorphic lenses as well as Angenieux ’s zoom lenses. They also experienced the Arri Amira with the highly rated Schneider Cine-Xenar III lenses. Digital cameras from Canon and Sony were also brought in to be paired with Schneider Xenon FF-Prime lenses and the Odyssey 7Q monitor/recorder.

Venturing into new markets

As a recognised veteran of the media and film industry in Greater China, Jebsen Industrial has also began looking beyond its shores to seize new business opportunities for its principals. It recently made an impressive showing for the first time at Broadcast India Show (Mumbai, Oct 15-17), which is an annual show that is already well established in India. With digital filmmaking being the strongest market trend, the Cinematic & Broadcast Solutions Department catered to the industry’s needs with leading solutions from two principals. Easyfocus, the world’s first automatic focus pulling and distance measurement tool, and Schneider’s high-performance lenses were well received by show-goers, who hailed from as many as 35 countries.
