As Greater China consumers learn to embrace healthier eating habits, Jebsen Industrial’s Specialty Ingredients & Solutions team continues to bring its naturally sourced and scientifically proven nutritional solutions to the market. Most recently, the team participated in three high-profile tradeshows to demonstrate how its functional ingredients can be cost-effective, versatile and great tasting additions to any food or beverage product.


Healthy hospitality

Jebsen Industrial made its presence felt at HOFEX 2015 (May 6-9, Hong Kong) with the spotlight trained on one of its newest principals. Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee (DEK) from Germany is a leading supplier of instant coffee and instant coffee drinks to the retail own-brand market. Known for managing its entire value chain from procurement and production to fully automated packaging, DEK’s commitment to food safety and quality parallels that of Jebsen Industrial. Together, the partners had a successful showing at the biennale event, which, true to its reputation as Asia’s leading food and hospitality show, attracted some 38,000 buyers over three days.  


Smart nutrition

As Greater China consumers become more selective of the food they consume, Jebsen Industrial is helping food and beverage manufacturers stay competitive with functional ingredients and nutritional solutions. To showcase this, the Specialty Ingredients & Solutions team joined Food ingredients Asia-China, Health ingredients & Natural ingredients (Fi Asia-China, Hi & Ni) 2015, held from June 24-26 in Shanghai. The team brought Abac ’s functional bio-products, Graminex’s exclusive non-solvent Rye Grass Flower Pollen Extract, Weishardt ’s cold soluble gelatin and odourless fish collagen as well as Syral ’s wheat protein. Over 70,000 visitors attended Fi Asia-China, Hi & Ni 2015, making it an excellent platform for Jebsen Industrial to grow its market reach.  


Safe dairy

Shortly after, the team participated in China Dairy 2015 (Aug 10-12, Beijing), a tradeshow organised by the China Dairy Industry Association (CDIA) to facilitate knowledge exchange, networking and business opportunities among industry players. While dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese and ice cream are popular among Greater China consumers, local manufacturers are grappling with stiffening international competition. To support them sharpen their competitive advantage with innovative products, improved productivity and stronger quality assurance, Jebsen Industrial led a selection of principals to the three-day tradeshow.
