Jebsen Industrial’s Food Ingredients Department adds new baking ingredients to its selections

 

Bake resistant jam is an excellent functional ingredient made with high-temperature modified starch and hydrophilic pectin. Being wrapped into the dough after boiling, it can always be wrapped tightly without flowing out and generating large pores during the entire baking process. Its homogeneous structure and long storage life make it well suited for fillings of breads with extended shelf life.

 

A huge bakery market is emerging in China thanks to upgraded consumer spending. According to industry data, baked goods posted an average growth rate of 28.85% per annum during the period 2008-2012. To meet the needs of the market, Jebsen Industrial’s Food Ingredients Department offers now a brand-new series of baking ingredients including bake resistant jam, potato chip seasoning and seasoning powder for baking, which have been a highlight since their debut at Food Ingredients China 2014 and Bakery China 2014.

Potato chips seasoning is a healthier functional premix and suitable for baked potato chips. The oil content of baked potato chips is less than 17%, while the traditional fried potato chips contain as high as 35% oil. Baked potato chips do not absorb moisture easily, resulting in longer shelf life and excellent crisp taste.
