DEMAND GROWS BUT ROADBLOCKS ARE IN SIGHT

Jebsen Industrial releases quarterly market report of China’s automobile industry

China’s automobile industry performed strongly in the first quarterly of 2015 but Jebsen Industrial’s Market Intelligence & Consultancy Services cautions that market roadblocks may lie ahead. This is according to its recently released quarterly market report, ‘The Automobile Industry in China – 1st Quarter 2015”.

Citing figures from China Automotive Industry Association, the report notes that the industry started the year strong with sales volume of passenger vehicles climbing steadily from January to March 2015. In particular, local automakers like DYK, Chang’an Auto and Great Wall Auto have performed well.

While this bodes well for the industry, Jebsen Industrial also points out several potential market roadblocks. This includes a rise in car complaints—the first quarter of 2015 had 70% more valid complaints than in the same period in 2014.
