Located at the eastern edge of the WKCD, the Xiqu Centre will become a landmark building specifically built for xiqu (Chinese opera) performances, and it is also a centre for the production, education and research of this unique art form.
The latest project will require our team to deliver a specially designed stage flooring system to the main theatre, practice rooms, classrooms, rehearsal halls and recording studio, covering the surface area of over 1,300 square meter.
JB Pro oil tempered hardboard, plywood underlayment and anchored steel channel substructure will be installed to ensure uniform performance and increased structural stability of the stage. These combined systems produce elastic and hardwearing stage floor that meet the strict criteria requested by the performance venue.
Jebsen Building Products has previously delivered high performance, multi-purpose stage flooring system to key cultural venues in Hong Kong, such as Ko Shan Theatre New Wing and Yau Ma Tei Theatre. Working closely with major hardwood flooring and sub-floor manufacturers, we provide our clients with fully customizable stage floors backed by our comprehensive technical support.
