As China’s automotive market continues to grow, Jebsen Automotive Technik (JAT) is growing with it. The Jebsen Industrial subsidiary is expanding its portfolio with the recent launch of its first automotive product brand. Blaumann is positioned as a premium auto aftermarket brand, offering high quality products, parts and services in Greater China.

 

Its introduction to the market is currently being led by a series of performance-driven engine oils. Blaumann complements JAT’s existing portfolio of localised OEM components, aftermarket spare parts and equipment for the passenger car and commercial vehicle segments in Greater China—while further solidifying its market standing as a leader, trusted partner and complete solution provider in the industry.

 

The name ‘Blaumann’, which in German literally means ‘blue man’, is a reference to the overalls typically worn by repairmen. Inspired by Jebsen’s 90-year legacy in the regional automotive sector, Blaumann is a reminder of how the company has supported Greater China’s blue-collar automotive workers for close to a century, and a promise of its continued commitment to the market.

Market-relevant product innovation

In preparing for Blaumann’s debut, JAT has leveraged its deep market knowledge and extensive experience to create five types of high-performance engine oils. Understanding that motor engines are the ‘heart’ of any vehicle, and that lubricants are critical to achieving optimal performance, JAT set out to develop an innovative solution that addresses four key market issues—engine protection, environmental conservation, performance optimisation and cost effectiveness. The result is a series of five engine oils, ranging from fully synthetic to semi-synthetic, to meet the needs of different drivers. Full throttle ahead

“With the introduction of Blaumann, the recent announcement of a fourth joint venture agreement with Germany’s tedrive Steering Systems and the success of its three existing joint ventures, the road ahead for JAT seems set to be an exciting one.
