New York-based MakerBot, a global leader in desktop 3D printing, and a partner brand of Jebsen Industrial, is this year’s Red Dot Award recipient, under the Product Design category.
Experts in design and innovation hailed the MakerBot® Method™ Performance 3D Printer as winner of the globally esteemed Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019. The performance 3D printer bested more than 5,500 product entries from over 55 countries.
Launched in December 2018, Method is the first performance 3D printer. Performance 3D printing bridges the gap between desktop and industrial 3D printing by bringing features that were previously only available on industrial 3D printers to professionals at a significantly lower cost. The printer’s industrial features control the 3D printing process to deliver a high level of precision, reliability and dimensional accuracy.
“We congratulate MakerBot for this industry accolade, which speaks of their long-established leadership in 3D printing. Our team is equally thrilled to carry their acclaimed products, and we share their excitement in the growing potential of performance 3D technologies,” said Ms. Rachel Cheung, General Manager, Automation & Service, Jebsen Industrial.
